Making money online terminology
The following are terms used in online money making programs.

CPC
Stands for Cost Per Click. CPC refers to the amount of money earned from a single click on an advertisement that is located on a webpage. CPC can vary greatly. You can earn 5 cents from one ad or 2 dollars from another ad, for example.

CTR
Stands for Click Through Rate. CTR is a percentage that refers to the number of times an ad has been clicked out of the number of times it has been viewed. For example, if an ad is viewed 500 times and it is clicked on 25 times, the CTR is 5 percent.

CPM
Stands for Cost Per Thousand Impressions. CPM refers to how much an advertiser will pay for every 1000 times their ad is viewed on a webpage.

Referral
When someone becomes a member of an online money making program because someone else referred them to it. Typically, the referrer earns money for this action.

Affiliate
A company that pays a commission for a sale of their product or product(s) that was generated through an advertisement on a website.
